There are many benefits in becoming a Volunteer at the Portland Media Center. Here are some of the ways you can get involved.
Hands-On Experience
Do you want to direct shows or operate a camera? Perhaps you are more of a behind-the-scenes person and would rather edit. Whatever you are interested in, PMC has a place for you!
Workshops
Check out our Intro to Studio and Field Production workshops to get started in your media and TV dreams! Also, find out about more advanced training to go from here to Hollywood. (Your dreams can come true!)
Scheduling + Programming
Help us choose programs to complete our regular schedule, decide when they will air, help develop our monthly program schedule and/or implement schedule changes.
Publicity
Write press releases, create PSAs for our regular shows, use Photoshop to develop posters for our programs and events, update our website and social media or work on any other of a number of ways to get the word out about what we do.
Administration
Assist the staff in organizing classes, volunteers, events, media, our member database, as well as research for developing projects.
